Environmental Responsibility
University of Hawaii Press is committed to environmentally responsible publishing. Whenever feasible, our books and journals are printed on chlorine-free paper, and we are moving toward the use of recycled papers with at least 30% post-consumer content. Our production and design staff employ strategies aimed at reducing paper consumption during book manufacture, and the entire Press participates in our universitywide recycling program.
